Focus on Janet Huscroft, Consultant Head Teacher

Since 2013, Lucy Hudson and the Hunsley Trust team have worked very closely with Janet Huscroft in her capacity as Consultant Primary Headteacher and educational adviser. Throughout our development process, Janet has shared her considerable expertise as a Local Leader of Education in an outstanding primary, Hook C of E School, Goole, to ensure that Hunsley Primary pupils make the best possible progress from the very outset.

We have been inspired by the work taking place at Hook, which is recognised nationally as an outstanding and innovative school, well known for its unique curriculum design, assessment procedures and pupil-centred approach to teaching.
Passionate about delivering the very best curriculum to make sure all children succeed, Janet has been asked to present to a variety of audiences at conferences both nationally and internationally, such as those organised by Ofsted, the Department for Education, the Local Authority, the National College for Teaching and Leadership, The Institute of Education and British International Schools in Spain, Ibiza and Majorca. She also worked closely with Sir Jim Rose on a review of the Primary Curriculum and contributed to national curriculum writing groups.

We have been very pleased to have worked so closely with Janet for the last two years and look forward to continuing the relationship as we move forward as a school.
