Safeguarding

The school places all areas of safeguarding at the forefront of its planning, procedures and policies, and most importantly, as a foundation to all daily activities. Each day, staff ensure that children are safe, nurtured and needs are met, being aware of how safeguarding must form a ‘golden thread’ throughout the school’s operations. If you have any questions about the way school ensures children are safe, please do not hesitate to ask. You will find a link on each page of this website to bring you back to safeguarding information at any point, including a hyperlink to the CEOP website (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) for parents wishing to find out more about online safety.

Julie Boyes (Assistant Headteacher, Behaviour and Wellbeing) is our Designated Safeguarding Lead and Sue Mutter (Nursery Nurse and Governor) is our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The school works with the Local Authority Safeguarding Children Partnership  https://www.erscp.co.uk/ to ensure training, practices and policies are effective, timely and meets the needs of our children. We also work with local police to develop curriculum content which supports our safeguarding agenda.

Our cross-school team of staff works closely together to ensure there is a robust foundation of safeguarding practice underpinning everything we do from our day-to-day classroom procedures to our overarching curriculum aims and school vision. We share with parents key information on safeguarding through our website.

If you have any concerns or queries relating to Child Protection, please contact Ms Boyes or our Safeguarding Deputy, Mrs Mutter, by calling 01482 330883.
