Visitors to the first of three Hunsley Primary open events were able to enjoy a taste of the super-hero lifestyle on Saturday 19 September. Prospective Reception children for the 2016 intake were treated to some mind-boggling special effects courtesy of Lab Rascals – dry ice bubbles; magic slime and super-fast zip wires for superhero teddy bears were amongst the activities children and parents could enjoy on their visit to the school. Families spent time chatting with staff, exploring the school’s brand new technologies and resources, as well as sampling the kinds of learning activities Hunsley Primary Reception pupils enjoy.
Our wraparound care providers, Building Bricks @ Hunsley Primary, were also on hand to talk with families about the extended services provided by the school, in tune with the varying needs of busy working parents and carers.
Current Reception pupils even came back to school on Saturday as they did not want to miss out!
Parents and carers interested in submitting an application for a place at Hunsley Primary can register their interest on our website and then complete their application via their Local Authority’s form, either online or by choosing Hunsley Primary when they return their paper form. We will be hosting two more open events (10 November and 9 January) but parents can also email or call the school to arrange a visit or a chat.
The deadline for applying to Hunsley Primary through the Local Authority’s application process is 15 January 2015.
