Andy Hayes

Andy is thrilled to have joined the team at Hunsley Primary after becoming a qualified teacher in 2025.

Specialising in primary education, Andy teaches Year 4, and has a degree in music after studying at the BIMM Institute in Manchester. Andy has previously worked with the Schools’ Music Service in the East Riding to deliver percussion teaching.

Andy has a passion for ensuring that all children succeed, able to have access to the rich curriculum available to them, while creating a classroom culture built on mutual respect, friendship and learning as a team.

Andy is taking on leadership of RE for the forthcoming year, and will be working with Lucy Hudson (Headteacher) to oversee exciting provision, staff training and monitoring the quality of teaching and learning in RE across the school.
